Manuscript Critique
You've done it. You've written your novel. But what's next? Think of the manuscript critique as an objective benchmark assessment of your novel. What's working, what's not, and where can you go from here? We take a macro-look at the manuscript, and identify any big-picture moves that could be made to improve the overall story. This service is ideal for writers who have just put their pen (or computer) down and have yet to dive into revising. Alternatively, if you have started the revising process but aren't sure what needs work, a manuscript critique can point you in the right direction.
Developmental Editing
This is the most comprehensive service that we offer at Maduro Creative. It includes overarching feedback as well as in-scene insight into the reader's experience. You'll receive in-the-margin feedback, chapter reports, and a full editorial editor containing our impressions and suggestions. This service is best suited for authors in the early stages of the revision process.
Line Editing
You know your story idea works. But how well is it working? When we line edit, we go sentence-by-sentence to help elevate your writing to its maximum potential. You'll receive in-the-margin feedback, 1-2 pages of our overall observations, and a copy of your marked-up manuscript. This service is best suited to authors who have already heavily revised their novel and are now looking to fine-tune it.
